    VERSUS FRIEND

    HOW TO GET A BATTLE
This section is for when you want to face a fellow RP’r … meet up in another topic and hold the battle here, or PM ( personal message ) or post in the Chat Box, and find your opponent! Say Ash PM’s Misty, the two would post a topic to hold their fight now. Please title topics as so …

    Ash vs. Misty
    Singles battle, Pallet Town

Now in the topic, you would post out your battle and banter!

    SYSTEMS

    NUMBER SYSTEM
    1. Battles must be even; by this I mean each participant uses the same amount of Pokémon. 1 vs. 1, 2 vs. 2 but not 5vs3. Double battles are allowed.
    2. In the fashion of being polite, the second person to send out their Pokémon will not be allowed to have first attack. Also, in the spirit of fairness, One-Hit KO moves and the use of medicines during battle do not exist here.
    3. Exchanging Pokémon does not alter its health level or status (as far as SLEEP, PARALYSIS, and POISON are concerned).
    4. All Pokémon start off with 30 hit points ( or more if agreed upon ). Attacks will do 10 points worth of damage. Super effective hits do 15 points and not very effective will deal 5 points. Non-effective attacks might will not deal damage at all. Please refer to the Attack-Type Chart at the bottom of this post to know which is which.
    5. Each Pokémon will start off fresh each time with two evades; use them wisely. Moves such as Protect, Dig and Safeguard provide an extra evade, but these moves are not to be abused.
    6. Health reducing/Stat altering moves are allowed to be used; they will siphon 3 points away from the enemy each turn. These moves consist of Poison Sting, Will-o-Wisp, etc. Stat effecting moves that cause PARALYSIS and CONFUSION will negate your opponent’s next attack.
    7. Moves that power up a Pokémon's attack power, such as Focus Energy or Rain Dance, may be used. This will simply add 5 more points worth of damage to your next move made.
    8. Moves that heal (E.g. Recover, Moonlight, and Synthesis) will heal you by 5 points worth of health.

    BETS-
With points you have towards getting Pokemon or Evolving one, you can put an amount up as a bet if both competitors agree to … this is only for the number system and not the free style. You may bet items you have gotten such as stones if you wish to, but both parties must agree on what they’d like to put up.

    FREE ROLEPLAY-
If you are just looking for a fun battle to be role-played out you may do so. Simply state that it’s a Free Style, and go on with your fun until the time you both feel to end it. No bets may be made in this system, as it’s up to the battler who wins!
