Sammie vs. Exz, 1 vs. 1, Pallet Town

Samantha grinned and told Squirt to get ready for their first battle together. Squirt stood in front of Sammie, ready to rock and roll! They waited for Exz to prepare.

Sammie "Ready whenever you are, Exz! You can have the first move."

Sammie "Get out of the way; dodge it, Squirt!"

Squirt is just lucky enough to jump on top of Charmander's head and then stick the landing behind him. Sammie smirks, thinking she might have this match won already.

Sammie "Ok, Squirt, use Hydro Pump!!"

Squirt stands there for a second and then begins to wave her hands and call out to Sammie in a panic.

Sammie "What?! You don't know that move?! Well do something!"

Squirt, with no other alternative, begins to run at Charmander, hoping to land a successful Tackle attack.

Squirt tries her best to cover her face as the fireballs rain down. Sammie watches on as Squirt is dealt some damage this go round.

Sammie "C'mon Squirt, fight fire with water! You've gotta know some water-attacks."

Squirt nods at Samantha and then turns to Charmander. She opens wide and then shoots a straight jet of water, hoping to catch Charmander just like he had caught her.

Sammie "Ok, Water Gun. I've gotta remember that one for later."

Squirt cries as Charmander attacks her with his extended claws, and Sammie covers her mouth with her hands out of sympathizing agony.

Sammie "Squirt just go in your shell!"

Squirt doesn't have to be told twice. Uses withdraw to spare herself even more damage. Sammie tries to think of what she can do next, while knowing Exz's next command will be coming soon.

Sammie ends up shrouded in the obnoxious gas, just like her Pokemon. She begins to cough, and through her interjects she finds time to talk to Squirt.

Sammie "Squirt, you gotta find Charmander and go for your Water Gun again!"

Sammie winds up coughing again as Squirt emerges from her shell. She goes deeper into the smog, looking to blast Charmander. She sees a figure move and unleashes, spraying a quick water jet. And then Squirt starts to move like a sprinkler; spraying out quick bursts of water in every which direction.

Sammie "Quick use Withdraw again!"

Squirt jumps into the air and retracts all of her limbs, leaving Charmander noting to claw at but her hard shell.

Sammie "And now use Headbutt!"

Squirt them comes right on back out and pushes her round, shiny head in Charmander's direction, hoping that the two can have a "meeting of the minds" of sorts.

Squirt runs around in a frenzy with Charmander latched down onto her arm, not wanting to give in an inch.

Sammie "Just get him off, anyway you know how!"

Squirt stops and begins to use Flail attack, shaking her arm back and forth vigorously, hoping to know Charmander off and onto the ground.

Sammie "Look out, Squirt! You've gotta move!"

Sammie then turns her head out of fear. Did Squirt make it? She slowly turns around and when the flames have receded, she can see Squirt standing over to the side of the scorch mark. She had got out of the way! Now Sammie knows she has this battle wrapped up.

Sammie "Alright, now use Iron Tail!"

Squirt runs at Charmander and jumps right in front of him! She swings around and... begins to use Tail Whip, lightly fluffing Charmander in the face. Sammie almost falls over out of anime-grief; Squirt doesn't know the move that Sammie commanded.
